According to a research carried out by the University of Milan, the Italian glaciers (especially the Lombard ones) in the period from 1979 to 2005 have withdrawn considerably, ranging from 117 square kilometers to 92 square kilometers, with a particular reduction since 2000 onwards . Hammer Attacker Stopped By Hero Police Officers

A man suspected of attacking people in NYC was stopped at the corner of Eighth Avenue and 37th Street, on May 13th 2015.  As police officers closed in, he pulled out his hammer and began swinging it violently hitting one of the officers, 27 years old patrolman Lauren O’Rourke.
